Our All Abilities course is designed to provide you with a toolbox of acting technique in an inclusive and accessible way, building confidence and skill in a supportive environment for all abilities. Guided by a Core Tutor and industry professionals, you'll explore different roles, collaborate with fellow actors, and experiment with various directors and styles to enhance your versatility and adaptability, regardless of your experience or background.
The course promotes relaxation, creativity, and playfulness, creating a safe and welcoming space where everyone can take creative risks and build trust with peers and instructors. This approach encourages exploration and confidence, helping you grow as a performer at your own pace and ability level.
Each week, you'll develop a toolkit of acting techniques, starting with Stanislavski’s principles and expanding into movement, vocal techniques, and creative decision-making. You’ll also learn how to create self-tape auditions, adapting your performance for different media. By the end of the course, many students are amazed by their personal growth and the deeper connection they’ve developed with their work.
The course concludes with a showcase, where you'll present short scenes in pairs or small groups to fellow participants, tutors, and family. This informal performance offers an opportunity to manage stage nerves and celebrate everyone's progress, strengthening the sense of community within the group. Everyone’s journey is valued, and the focus is on personal growth and inclusivity.
